The circuits I’ve done over the past couple of days have left the inside of my legs so sore that I can hardly sit down! Today I took things easy on that muscle group and focused more on core.
The top set is warmup, and the bottom set repeats until you can’t complete the moves with good form anymore.

Had to workout inside this morning. The temp is dropping outside like crazy and I’m still not thrilled about running in negative temperatures. It will happen at some point this winter, but Im not up to the challenge quite yet.

Today’s workout was for legs more than anything. It wasn’t too difficult, thankfully because I’m sore from the previous two workouts this week. The Insanity Max Recovery workout is no joke for Abs. My obliques are sore to the touch today.

Plyo 300 Circuit

The power was out here for 3 days so I wasn’t doing much in the way of workouts or even sweating since there was no water in the house. Alaska is a funny state. We are among the coldest cities on the planet, but an ice storm brings everything to a halt and plays havoc with our infrastructure. Crazy!

Anyway, now that the power is back on, let’s workout! This circuit takes about 30min depending on how hard you push.

Plyo 300 Circuit

Warmup:
10 Chaturanga Dandasana
15 Lunge/squat/kick Combos

Workout- 3x rounds of:
20 Back lunge, front kick (L)
20 Back lunge, front kick (R)
20 Suicides
10 Kick-through push-up
20 Side-to-side Ski jumper
10 Squat jacks

I finished this with the Insanity Max Recovery workout for a burn and stretch, 40min.

Warmup:
15 Walkout push-ups w/ knee tucks
15 8-count lunge/squat/kick combos

3x rounds of the following:
20 Side jump lunges (2 count)
10 Ski Abs (2 count)
20 Jump lunges (2 count)
20 Hanging knee raises
50 Mountain climbers (2 count)
20 Plank punches
20 Suicides (half Burpee)
10 Jump tucks

Stayed inSide for today’s workout. The temps here are dropping into the single digits. Brrr!

It was hard to go all out on this one without short breaks between most of the exercises, making it super great cardio. I finished in about 35min. Good stuff!

Short Run, Short Circuit

I forgot to post yesterday’s workout, so it’s below. Today was a rest day, which was welcome after a long day of work and teaching a night class. Strangely, I didn’t sleep very hard.

This workout can fit in an hour if you’re working hard (which definitely makes it more challenging).

Warm up: 5mi run

Workout: 3x rounds of
15 Reverse push-ups
30 Jump lunges
20 Bicep curls
20 KB Clean & press
30 Half Burpees
25 KB swings
